Vendor Managed Inventory Programs (VMI)

Offers customers the tools to transition from customer to vendor managed inventory programs. This is a very common and easy- to-implement program designed around your current business platform, whether manual or automated.

KANBAN/JIT/Dock-to-stock

Commonly used programs for cost reduction as it directly relates to the Just-in-Time management of inventory. Kanban is a signaling system to trigger action. As its name suggests, Kanban historically uses cards to signal the need for an item. However, other devices such as plastic markers or an empty bin can also be used to trigger the movement, production, or supply of a unit in a factory. A simple 2 bin Kanban can be implemented to lower inventory from months to weeks to days.

Bar Coding

Key information such as purchase order number, part number, batch and cure are common Bar Code items. Scanning a barcode labeled bin/bag is a very cost-effective way to begin the reorder or receiving process.
